Corinne Tardieu - Owner and Founder
Corinne Tardieu created Tico's Treasure in 2012 with one goal in mind: making beautiful, quality costumes affordable and accessible to dancers.
Corinne Tardieu is a multi-talented dancer, teacher, costume designer and business owner. Corinne began designing costumes out of necessity and practicality as her dance career was taking off. She is the first client of Tico's Treasure and has been designing her own costumes for 10 years. Her background in dance has given her the understanding of what a dancer needs in a costume and her diploma in business administration helped her grow the business to where it is today.
Corinne Tardieu is a trained dancer. From Folkloric Haitian dance to classical ballet, to modern, and flamenco, her extensive dance training gave her the edge to distinguish herself as soon as she entered the Latin dance world in 2001. She has since been collecting titles and trophies. In 2006, 1st place winner at the Montreal Extreme Salsa competition. And in 2009, Salsa Canadian Champion, after winning 1st place at the Montreal Salsa Convention and Canada Salsa Congress in Toronto just to name a few. In 2014, Corinne’s thirst for new artistic heights leads her to train and compete in ballroom dancing. That extra edge most likely helped her become the 2017 Canadian Champion in Salsa, Bachata and Hustle with partner Victor Alexis.
It is without a doubt Corinne’s passion for dancing, costume design and a constant pursuit of artistic development and skillful teaching style that make her one of the leading ladies in the Canadian Latin scene.
